I started with another thesis, but it didn't pan out. Turkey has the second highest average IQ of muslim nations at 90. For example, Many of the data points in Lynn's book IQ and the Wealth of Nations were not based on residents of the named countries. La Griffe du Lion has an interesting graph on the correlation (.73) between the wealth of nations and their IQs, based on the work of Professors Richard Lynn and Tutu Vanhanen. My comments on Ron Unz's article “Race, IQ, and Wealth” have led to further exchanges between myself and Ron. In it, he argues there is a correllation between national GDP and IQ. Ron Bailey has a look at the latest round in the discussion. Why is it the northern African countries scored much higher and into their 80's and 90's? All other muslim nations have average IQ's of less than 90--some of them much less. The conclusions of this book have always seemed bizarre and ridiculous to me. According IQ and the Wealth of Nations research neither of Balkan nations is among the first 25 when it comes to IQ. According these data, the smartest people on Earth live in Hong Kong (IQ=107), South Korea (106) and Japan (105). And EQ of guinea has an all-time low of 59? Why is it on the IQ and wealth of nations that most Africans have an IQ below 75? Lynn's fourth recent book, along with Tatu Vanhanen, IQ & the Wealth of Nations, received more mixed reviews in academic journals, but this should be taken as a sign of its controversial importance. Googling around, though, I came across this book. No comments: Post a Comment · Newer Post Older Post Home.
